The following are the various steps involved in the setup of the EX6200 extender
First of all, place the extender close to your Wi-Fi router. After that, you have to plug in the extender into an electrical outlet.
Press the power button if necessary. The Extender LED and the Rate LEDs light amber during the startup process. These LEDs will automatically turn off, after about a minute. For more information about EX6200, you can also search the web address www.mywifiext.net setup.
Make sure that your computer is not connected to the Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi network. If your computer is already connected to the internet using the any of the wired or wireless networks, then you might not be able to connect to the extender.
In the next step, you have to connect your computer to the extender using the Ethernet cable. You can use any of the five Ethernet/LAN Port on the extender. It is important to not to use to connect the extender to the Wi-Fi router. If so, the extender will not work as it is designed to use a Wi-Fi connection. After that the device to the Extender LED illuminates, if the LED does not illuminate, then reconnect the Ethernet cable and launch the web browser again. Then type the web address as www.mywifiext.net setup and press enter. This will directly take you to the NETGEAR official homepage.
Then click on the NEW EXTENDER SETUP. After that, you need to create an account for the EXTENDER Login credentials.
Then select the Wi-Fi range extender for your device. Select the Wi-Fi network to extend and then just click on the NEXT.
After that, you have to enter the security settings for the existing network.
After that a message will appear to you, then click on the OK to save the settings.
